Sissler, Bernard C.
Bernard C. Sissler, an assistant vice president of Construction Engineering,
NY Telephone, New York, N.Y., formerly of Ridgewood, N.J. and Flat Rock, N.C.,
died Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Glen Arden Health Care Center in Goshen. He
was 83.
The son of Charles Sissler and Alice Ruhl Sissler (who were of Staten Island,
N.Y.), he was born November 12, 1921 in New York, N.Y.
He was a Lt. in the US Navy serving as a naval aviator in WW II. He received a
Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from Manhattan College.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy A. Fitzgerald Sissler at home; two sons,
John Sissler of Sparta, N.J. and Michael Sissler of Wyckoff, N.J.; daughter
Ann Sissler of New Windsor; six grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Alice Sissler and Rita Pyfferoen.
There will be no visitation.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 16 at St. John the
Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen.
Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Goshen.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S.
Church St., Goshen.

Stahl, Erna E.
Erna E. Stahl, of Highland Mills, N.Y., passed away on July 11, 2005. She was
92 years of age.
Erna was born in Germany and was the wife of the late Norbert Stahl.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Coopersmith and son-in-law
Robert Jochim of Wesley Hills, N.Y., Peggi Stevens and son-in-law William
Stevens of Isle au Haut, ME; grandchildren: Michael Coopersmith, Ellyn and
Sherri Coopersmith of New York, N.Y., Jessica Stevens of Monhegan, ME, Dane
Stevens of Vinalhaven, ME, Vikki Ruisch and husband John Ruisch of Woodcliff
Lake, N.J.; great-grandchildren Noah and Eli Coopersmith and Samantha DeJesus.
She will be remembered as a loving and creative wife and mother and a
passionate member of the Senior Citizens of Woodbury.
